How Matrx collects, uses and protects your personal information — including the tracking used for our Meta and Google advertising. This is a template to review and complete with your business details; it is not legal advice.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Information you give us — when you place an order , create an account, or contact us: Name, email, phone number , billing and shipping address Order details and the vehicle details you enter for custom mats (make, model, year,notes). Payment information (processed securely by our payment providers — we do not store full card numbers) Any messages or enquiries you send us. Information collected automatically — when you browse the store or interact with our ads:

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our store uses cookies and similar technologies (pixels, tags and local storage) to make the site work, understand how it is used, and deliver and measure advertising. These fall into three groups:

Essential — needed for the site to function, such as keeping items in your cart and processing checkout. These cannot be switched off .

Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the store so we can improve it (for example Google Analytics).

Advertising — let us show you relevant ads on Meta and Google and measure whether they work (for example the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags).

4. Advertising and analytics — Meta and Google

We advertise on Meta and Google and use their tracking tools to show relevant ads, build audiences, and measure results. These tools collect information about your activity on our store and share it with Meta and Google. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — the Meta Pixel and Conversions API. When you visit our store, the Meta Pixel may record pages viewed, products browsed, items added to cart, and purchases, along with your device and a Meta advertising identifier. Google — Google Ads and Google Analytics. We use Google tags to measure ad conversions, understand site usage, and run remarketing across Google services and partner sites. Google may collect pages viewed, actions taken, device information, and advertising identifiers. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy:

Where required, these advertising and analytics tools only load after you give consent through our cookie banner . We do not sell your personal information. You can limit this tracking at any time using the controls in section 7.

5. How we use your information. We use your personal information to: 

Process and deliver your orders, including making custom mats to your vehicle details

Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries

Send order updates and, where you have opted in, marketing emails about products and offers

Deliver, personalise and measure our advertising on Meta and Google

Understand and improve our store, products and service

Detect and prevent fraud and misuse

Meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations

6. Who we share your information with

We share personal information only as needed to run our store and advertising, with:

Shopify — our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and processes orders

Payment providers — to process payments securely (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal, or

your chosen gateway)

Shipping and fulfilment partners — to deliver your order

Meta and Google — for the advertising and analytics described in section 4

Email and marketing tools — to send order and marketing emails, where applicable

Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law

Some of these providers are located overseas, including in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with Australian privacy law. We do not sell your personal information.

You can also use your browser’s private/incognito mode or ad-blocking tools. Opting out stops personalised ads but you may still see non-personalised ones.

8. Security, retention and overseas storage

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including using reputable providers (such as Shopify) that apply encryption and access controls. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law (for example, order and tax records are generally kept for several years).

When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. As noted in section 6, some of our providers and advertising partners are overseas, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United

States.

9. Your rights

Children. Our store is intended for adults. W e do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the “last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear on our website.
